As we grow older, we naturally plan our lives according to our personal path of life. Some of us write bucket lists, some a 5-year plan, but why is it so important to have a plan in life?

Personally, I don't believe so much in precise, well-built life plans just because our lives can be so random and unpredictable, that you can't foreshadow everything that might come your way. However, what I do believe in is a list, some sort of bucket list that has all of your goals, your dreams, wishes, and challenges.

You might wonder, what exactly is the point of having a bucket list? It seems so trivial and stupid, nothing worth taking seriously.

Well, not exactly. Studies have shown that bucket lists are very important not only to help manage time and money but also raise your self-esteem and ambition as it makes you believe that you and only you hold the power to achieve all your goals.

Writing a bucket list (or actually any sort of list), will help you remain (or become) organized. The fact that you are writing your plans down (for example if you have a weekly to-do or bucket list) is going to visually help you understand what has to be accomplished. The next step is to figure out how or when your plans are going to happen.

Not only will a list help you become and stay organized, but it also contributes to your time and money management skills.

Having a plan of what you really want or what you really have to do, will lead having to manage your time (to fit your plans in your schedule) as well as money. For example some projects on your bucket list, are going to require your financial engagement. Naturally, if you don't want to be in debt for the rest of your life, you will have to save some money up, and manage the expenses well.

Furthermore, bucket lists are going to help you stay realistic and have some sense of measure. As I explained before, most plans and projects require money, so you still have to remain reasonable (at least a little bit).

When you decide to finally sit down and write a bucket list, you will be confronted with one main question "What do I want?". Sounds relatively simple, but there is more to it.

Five minutes into sitting down and gazing through the window while thinking about the fries you really wanted last night, you will realize, that this was never just about the fries. Actually thinking about what you want, will lead you to think about what you want to achieve in life, what you would like to do and see. Soon enough you will sit in front of a handcrafted list of your future accomplishments.

Your personalized list is going to help you to stay motivated as it displays your dreams and wishes that have to be accomplished. Yes, it might be a long and difficult path to reach your goal, but it is worth it.
Having a visual of what you want and have to achieve will also help you be successful, ambitious and motivated. PRO TIP: Keep your list where you can see it, just to remember why you are doing what you're doing and always having a visual of your goals. Some people like to keep it even more visual by making a collage of what you want.
It is also very important to include rather "small" goals, just to keep you motivated throughout the process. There is nothing more satisfying than putting a check mark next to an accomplished goal!

Last but most certainly not least, a bucket list is going to increase your self esteem as well as your self accomplishment, as you will always remain aware of where you stand and what you've done, whereas without a list you might have accomplished several things but you are not going to remember precisely what, when and how much it was.

Don’t worry, I’m not ordering you to throw all of your clothes away, but just think about it... What clothing items would you purchase if you had to re-stock your clothing? To be more precise, what pieces would you buy if you would have to build a long-lasting, timeless closet?

So what exactly do you have to look for when you a) ‘rebuild’ your closet or b) are trying to improve it?

If you want a successful closet that is timeless, I would suggest going the ‘minimalistic’ way. What I mean, is that you build a closet with limited items that you can combine in numerous different ways. Here are some tips you can follow, which will help you throughout the process of creation.

Now listen, quality might be the most important thing in the entire process. You never want to waste your money on items that are not worth it – low-quality items. Think about it, why would you buy a low-quality item that loses its shape, color or rips apart after a couple of washes? Instead, you can save that money and buy a piece of better quality clothing that will last you forever. I understand, better quality equals higher price, but trust me it is worth paying a couple of bucks more.

Low quality not only looks bad (because usually, it is pretty easy to spot), but it can also damage your health. It might sound far fetched but it makes sense: you are buying an item that didn’t cost anything to produce, which is filled with diverse chemicals that finally touch your skin and penetrate your breath, right? Not only that, but some materials are not good for your skin and health in general. For example, materials that contain Polyester, Acrylic, Nylon, and Rayon should be definitely avoided.

Personally, I would recommend looking for natural material as for example cotton and wool. You also have to make sure that the fabric is 100% cotton and not only a small percentage that is mixed with something different. As for accessories, I would recommend looking for real leather or something similar, as it is very durable (then again, you have to keep the cruelty in mind.

Also, don’t forget! Always check the stitches of the clothing (or bags, shoes) because even if the material is good, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the work was done properly and with no defaults.

Finally, something that you always have to keep in mind is that expensive brands do not always have great, high-quality items. Most of the time you are paying for the name and not for the quality. This thought goes vice versa, as not all ‘cheap’ brands have bad/low-quality items. For example H&M sells affordable clothing with not always good quality, however, they also sell organic cotton t-shirts and other pieces for the same price as the rest.

Following the minimalistic way, you have to think practical. The pieces you will acquire, are items that you can combine in numerous ways, for example, a dress that you can wear during the day but also for a night out. Usually, these items are simple but chic, easy to combine and not too extravagant.

There are some items that you should have to have a successful closet:

Every closet needs basics; make sure that these are also in ‘basic’ colors like black, gray and white. This will help you with the combination of different outfits. Basics combined correctly can quickly look super trendy, chic and classy. For example look for basic black and white t-shirts that you can combine with blue/black jeans and sneakers (perhaps also add a blazer to look super trendy!).

2. PANT(S)

Honestly, you don’t have to go ham with jeans and pants, 2 pairs is more than enough (if you’re a real minimalist); it is important to have a good pair of black jeans/pants, it is most definitely an essential, since you’ll be able to combine it with practically everything. For the second pair, look for a blue simple jean, perhaps a ripped jean (but good quality!) if that’s what you prefer to wear.

As I said before, you can easily combine basics to make the entire outfit look classy by adding a special piece. This piece could be a blazer for example. To complete your closet full of basics (wow that almost sounds like you entered the ‘basic’ section of H&M) you need to add a couple of dressy shirts, blazer(s) and dresses.

Okok, I hear you. You don’t want to be that basic, I understand. No need to remain that plain and basic. There is always space for statement pieces, your colorful jacket or your crazy dress that you bought last summer. Statement pieces are amazing and they add up to a perfectly combined outfit.

SIDENOTE - This principle applies to everything in your surrounding, not only your closet is concerned. This can also apply to overall organization (post might follow) and furniture and general possession.

My point is, don’t go overboard with clothing that you don’t really need, instead invest in good quality items that will be by your side forever.

Just remember – LESS IS MORE.

After a couple of stressful months of studying and procrastinating, I am finally back with new fresh content and a lot of inspiration. Today, I am going to share with you a part of my life that has not been open to the public yet.

Practically my entire life I've had a passion for cooking and experimenting with food and different recipes  (yes my kitchen almost burned down several times, but it was totally worth it). By no means am I a professional cook or anything like that, but I enjoy cooking and I personally think that I don't suck that much. That's why I decided to share some recipes with you that might inspire you to try new things or if you don't enjoy cooking, maybe give it a second chance.

As a first recipe I am going to share with you my newly discovered recipe, Spaghetti alla Carbonara. The recipe I am going to share with you today, is extremely simple and if you don't like wasting time in the kitchen, this recipe is perfect for you! Also, this is the "real-deal-italian-recipe-without-cream-so-don't-ever-cook-it-with-cream-you-have-no-excuses" recipe.

To begin with, this is what you will need:

- Spaghetti pasta (as much as you can destroy in one session of pasta-eating, personally I use a full pack of pasta - the more the merrier)
- Pancetta (for the real deal) or bacon (the amount also depends on the quantity of pasta you have)
- Eggs (about 3-4)
- Parmesan cheese (A LOT)

As you probably noticed, I didn't really give any precise quantities and that's because I just follow my guts and hope for the best.

After you've gathered all of your goodies, you can start by filling a pot with water and put it on the stove so the water can boil up.

1. When the water is boiling, add some salt (not too much as the pancetta is super salty) and your spaghetti. The pasta usually cooks for about 10-12 minutes, which means that you can start on the meat right away.

2. On the stove, heat up a pan with some olive oil and throw your pancetta in. You will see that you don't need much oil as the meat is super greasy itself. For about 8 minutes you can cook the pancetta in the pan on the highest level.

3. When the pasta is cooked, you drain it (obviously) and put it back in the pot. Now you can throw the cooked pancetta in the same pot as your pasta. Make sure to mix it up a little and insure that all of the pasta is covered in oil. Now, cover the pasta-pancetta mixture with a lid to let the pasta get infused by the cooked meat.

4. For the actual sauce, take a couple of eggs (again it depends on the quantity of the pasta. For an entire pack of spaghetti, I take 5 eggs). Break the eggs in a small bowl, add some parmesan cheese and pepper if you like, and mix it up!

5. Are you ready? I hope you are, because you are about to create an artwork! Alright, if you are ready, add your egg-mixture to the pancetta infused pasta and mix!

See, I told you it was easy!

Your pasta is ready, enjoy!
